Description
A crocheted throw in thick chenille, with a three-dimensional Christmas tree built up stitch by stitch across the face. The tree stands proud of the surface rather than being appliquéd on, so it casts its own shadow and reads as a made object rather than a printed one.
50 × 60 inches — enough to cover a lap and shoulders for an evening on the sofa. Dark red, green and navy, with snowflake and mixed versions of the same motif. The reverse is a flat chenille knit, plainer than the face, so the throw can be turned over outside December.
